Barthes e la letteratura

The essay introduces a reasoned catalog of the numerous defini-tions of literature in the work of Roland Barthes. The aim is toshow as, beyond the apparent contradictions, Barthes hasexplored in all possible senses, privileging the method of the dis-junctive synthesis to that of the dialectical opposition, the poten-tialities of a concept impossible to put aside even in the epoch thatproclaimed the death of it.
