From the "Dirty dozen" to "The good, the bad and the ugly". Some preliminary remarks on the super league affaire in the light of Eu competition rules.

The paper aims at offering a preliminary analysis of the Super League affaire taking into account the legal aspects as well the political ones. According to the Author, the previous case-law of the Court of Justice, although fundamental to correctly understand the problems involved in the Super League’s case, does not provide a complete answer to the relevant and very peculiar questions behind the Super League which call into question the very concept of the European Sports Model.
