Il piano di risanamento di Bergamo alta: i Podestà e l’ingegnere

The Recovery Plan of Bergamo Alta, approved in 1935, was the outcome of a complex planning
process that began in 1926. Resolving the long-standing problem of the city's sanitary conditions,
which had already been denounced since the late 19th century, was possible thanks to the tenacity
of the municipal administrators and podestà and the expertise of the designer, engineer Luigi
Angelini.
