"Raimondi" alias Maraini, "Rominger" alias Kitzinger: i molti sottili legami di un opus magnum

On the basis of unpublished archive documents as well as of literary evidence this essay sheds light on the cooperation between the German Byzantinist Ernst Kitzinger and the Italian photographer and writer Fosco Maraini, which resulted in the extraordinary photographic survey of the Corpus of the Byzantine Mosaics of Norman Age in Sicily.
