To provide deep knowledge of Eurpean sports law. At the end of the the course the student is able to understand the features of the discipline of sports activities in the European context, in terms of both case-law and policy.

Teaching Methods
Classroom lessons with the support of PPT slides. If the teaching is given in a mixed or remote mode, changes may be introduced with respect to what is stated in the syllabus to make the course and exams usable also in these ways.
Assessment Methods
Written exam (Multiple choice). No oral exam. 30 questions/30 minutes. 1 point for each right answer. No penalty for wrong or white answers. To pass the exam the student must get 17 right answers at least. Same test for attending and non-attending students. The results of the exam will be made available as soon as the results upload operations have been completed
Contents
a) sport, EU law and Council of Europe law; b) the case-law of the EU Court of justice; c) sport activities and EU law; d) football and the Bosman case; e) other sport activities: judo, basketball, handball and swimming; f) sport and antitrust law; g) the White paper on sport; h) Sport and the Lisbon Treaty; i) new UEFA?s rules on financial fair-play; l) sport and the Council of Europe. At the end of the course, the student will have acquired the necessary skills to understand the complexity of sports legislation articulated on different levels (international, European and national) and characterized by a high degree of hybridization between public and private rules.
In the event of provisions of the competent Authority regarding the containment of the epidemic, the teaching could undergo changes with respect to what is stated in the syllabus to make the course and exams in line with the provisions.
