The course aims to provide students with the fundamental knowledge to understand and solve professional issues related to energy production and conversion, including cross-cutting aspects in industries. Having a knowledge base in the energy field is a prerequisite for an engineer, regardless of the training program chosen.
The course contributes to the educational objectives of the course of study with regard to the engineering area, in particular with reference to engineering and design knowledge related to energy systems

Practical lessons and theory lessons. Guided tours to power plants.
2-hour written test including 4-5 open questions and 2 exercises.
Maximum final score: 32, corresponding to 30/30 cum laude
No oral test is required.
The course will provide a broad overview of the most widely used technologies for conversion into electrical and thermal power of primary energy sources (exhaustible, almost inexhaustible, and renewable). In particular, the course will include the following topics:
