By the end of the course, students will have familiarized themselves with the problems, methods and topics of the philosophy of cognitive science; acquired skills in philosophical reflection on issues concerning the domain of the mental and the human person; and improved their communication skills (in written or oral form) of philosophical content.
Expected learning outcomes include:
- knowledge of the main approaches to the philosophy of cognitive science;
- ability to critically read a philosophical text;
- the ability to evaluate and produce arguments in the domain of the mental and the human person

Lectures alternating with collective reading and discussion of short essays.
Oral interview.
The examination aims to ascertain (i) knowledge of the epistemological problems discussed in the philosophy of cognitive science and the main models of mental capacities; (ii) the ability to produce and understand arguments in the domain of mental phenomena; and (iii) the ability to critically read a philosophical text.
The grade is given in thirtieths and announced at the end of the interview.
