abstract:
Analyzing the metamorphosis that the notion of citizenship has undergone, the text aims at reflecting on citizenship education. Global processes have multiplied and differentiated the borders, have increased the complexity of physical and symbolic mobility experiences. Today the context of the city seems the most fruitful to investigate the transformations of citizenship and to test educational and participatory paths: to exercise the «right to the city». The education is a political experience, which takes place on the threshold between the personal and the plural, the private and the public. It is a project that encourages the interaction between knowing and doing, between knowledge and practices, between contents and methods.
