Città intermedia e pratiche di multilevel governance

A ‘voluntary landscape’, outcome of a process of valorisation of a recognized territorial capital, represents opportunities for recognition of new forms of the city? The issue is relevant to portions of metropolitan contexts characterized by settlements with moderate urban density (and not filled with the institutions of the metropolitan government), but for one with strong economic systems which have a demand for urban government supported with difficulty by a plurality of institutional actors. Territories in movement that rediscover better re-design – a territorial vocation and a brand for local development policies. The contribution analyzes the case of planning of Franciacorta area, both laboratory for a multilevel governance and practice of strengthening of a territorial entity.
