The paper analyzes the centrality of the inhabitants as a new cartographic interpreter in the digital era by the Geographical Information Technologies in the web. Case studies show the experience gained by the CST-DiathesisLab in conceiving a methodology and mapping systems, focusing on some examples related to Bergamo.
