The text reflects on cultural diversity by combining two aspects of the problem: the differences between cultures and the differences within each culture. Recognizing the complex nature of each culture means recognizing that every cultural expression is constitutively (in) relationship. This nature of cultures is revealed in public spaces. These are the threshold within which encounters, clashes, exchanges, negotiations and contaminations take place. They are places in which linguistic and cultural translation practices are occurring.
