Le nozioni di "determinazione" e "definitezza": considerazioni sull'espressione della definitezza / indefinitezza in arabo letterario.

After introducing some general notions (compatibility, hierarchy, expansion, determination, definiteness) according to André Martinet's functionalist approach, this article focuses on the expression of definiteness and indefiniteness in literary Arabic. To this aim, the presence / absence of the tanwīn is analyzed taking into account the various declensions of the name and some specific cases: proper nouns, vocative, categorical negation lā. As already suggested in a previous study by J. Retsö, tanwīn turns out not to be the moneme of indefiniteness, but a pure morphological marker.
