Pietre e parole. Leggere il tempo nello spazio. Una riflessione di Paul Ricoeur

The narration is a great system of understanding, a way of knowing provided with its own strategies. The narration has a precise epistemological function: it is a process of interpretation and understanding experiences, events, facts, capable of giving them shape and meaning. In this perspective, the storytelling is a crucial structure of education. After having dedicated an extraordinary work to reflect on the nature of time and its relationship with the narrative, Paul Ricoeur has also focused his attention on the dimension of space. The text aims at illustrating how the narrative reinterpretation of the project generates, in Ricoeur's reflection, a new intertwining between narrating and building, based on the concepts of text, context and narrative identity, and provides productive perspectives for a philosophy of education, interpreted as a process of individual and collective recognition of oneself and of the others, in time and space.
