abstract:
The Russian Federation represents a socio-cultural reality, in some ways, still little known in Italy but which is now an object of growing interest, in consideration of the news and the consolidation of economic and cultural relations between the two countries. This volume contributes to satisfying this curiosity through the analysis of one of the most complex and fascinating aspects of Russian reality (and, in general, of modern societies), namely communication in traditional and digital media. Thanks to a multidisciplinary approach, based on the use of tools typical of media linguistics, semiotics, cultural studies and sociology, the Russian and Italian researchers who participated in the creation of this monograph investigate the conditions in which new media have entered the Russian context, their influence on traditional ones and on the forms of verbal and non-verbal interaction that concern everyday life of Russian speakers.
