L’influenza degli ordini religiosi nell’evoluzione storico-urbana di Piazza Armerina (Enna): il caso studio del borgo del Padre Santo

This paper examines the urban transformations of Piazza Armerina related to the establishment of religious orders and the subsequent acquisition of their heritage by the Italian State. The study focuses on the area historically known as the Borgo del Padre Santo. Today this area is not highly valued, although it looks suitable for redevelopment. A project based on the careful study of urban history that aims to increase the design quality of a degraded (but essential) area of the city centre.
