abstract:
This paper is the editorial of the Special Issue ‘Digital technologies to support lifecycle management of smart product-service solutions’’. It presents an original and comprehensive definition of smart PSS, resulting from the large state of the art developed for the Special Issue. This editorial paper introduces nine scientific papers addressing some key international advances on smart PSS. SI’s Structure: (i) determinants of smart PSS strategies; (ii) specificities of smart PSS design; (iii) lifecycle management via digital twins. The paper provides a very good overview of the main trends of current researches on Digital Servitization and smart PSS.
