The five-hundred-year anniversary of the first circumnavigation of the globe, started by Magellan and completed by eighteen travellers aboard the Victoria in 1522, has brought back that historical- geographical event, less known than others. Among the most recent publications and the latest debates, there is also a television miniseries entitled Sin Limítes which, in six episodes, shows with realistic features and a certain adherence to historical sources - in particular Antonio Pigafetta - the events of the three years of navigation. Although with some inaccuracies and a certain inclination to fully rehabilitate the figure of Juan Sebastián Elcano, the series appears to be an excellent tool for approaching the topic, far from the typical distortions of a certain cinematography, mostly in the didactic activities at school and not only.
