abstract:
The aim of the following contribution is to retrace the change that has characterized the school teaching of history, in particular the emphasis is placed on the causes that underlie the progressive reduction of the weight of historical studies in schools, even in the university, and the "clumsy attempts at innovation” of historical teaching materials for the students. Between the lines we read an appeal by the authors to the teachers, those who have the task of leading learners to a true and effective critical reason and to a transmission and understanding of the sense of complexity in order to re-read the teaching of history as a rich, full and critically formative education.
