abstract:
The chapter describes the fatigue behavior of some of the most common light alloys in inert and aggressive environments, also evaluating the effects induced by the physical vapor deposition of coatings. The results show that the deposition of suitable coatings can ensure appreciable tribological properties, good corrosion protection and interesting fatigue resistance.
