Il volto umano della meritocrazia?

Academic Article
Publication Date:
2022
Short description:
(2022). Il volto umano della meritocrazia? [journal article - articolo]. In NUOVA SECONDARIA. Retrieved from https://hdl.handle.net/10446/235349
abstract:
Starting with the contribution of the philosopher Marco Santambrogio, the three principles according to which a society can be defined as meritocratic are presented: careers open to talent, equality of opportunity, places and positions must be deserved. Can these principles be respected? Can, and in what ways, meritocracy breed tyranny and resentment? In the frenzied and ruthless competition for success that meritocracy generates, there is a risk of forgetting singularity, with the risk of arriving at a homologation of the good and the deserving, in the educational sphere, based solely on grade point averages and results obtained.
