The Mobile Device-Based Assistive Technologies (MDBATs) are Assistive Technologies (TAs) consisting of
mobile devices able to provide assistive functionality thanks to specific applications available in stores. They
are increasingly used by persons with visual disability to perform different daily activities. Their technical
features and the proliferation of mobile applications determine simplifications and reductions in time and
costs in the creation of TAs. This urgently requires guaranteeing the right of persons with disabilities to have
complete and detailed information on the existing in this sector, and to know the programming methodology
(and in particular to see their needs met) and the training of the developers. With the aim of gathering this
information, a systematic review of mobile applications for persons with visual disability, contained in the
GooglePlay store, was carried
