abstract:
Today we are faced with the logic of difference, which recalls human complexity and richness, and which claims a cultural, political, and, at the same time, undoubtedly pedagogical strategy; it is pre-cisely pedagogy that is called upon to be a strong and authoritative voice for the right to difference, both within individuals and communities. Acknowledging the person's status as a difference means understanding it, embracing it through looks of reciprocity and unconditional openness, and as-suming it as a founding value. The directions derived from this interpretation en-visage '[...] an 'integrated', more humane education system, open to all, a system that not only tolerates but welcomes and celebrates difference'.
