The book examines the development of health promotion in the critical perspective of the social psychology of health. The focus is on the encounter with many scientific positions in the systemic, phenomenological, hermeneutic and psychodynamic fields, which allows health psychology to refocus from the diagnosis and therapy centered on the individual, toward the community and societal dynamics of health promotion. Finally, the volume raises the question of relocation of health psychology theory and practice in the postmodern cityscape's problems.
