La digitalizzazione del patrimonio culturale: la collezione dei ‘lapidei’ del Museo delle Storie di Bergamo / Digitization of Cultural Heritage: the Collection of ‘lapidei’ of the Museum of the Histories of Bergamo.

This paper illustrates a section of the project developed by the University of Bergamo in cooperation with the Museum of the Histories of Bergamo, for the knowledge, protection, and enhancement of the former convent of San Francesco in the Upper town. It is a valuable monument little known both in its architecture and its movable heritage composed of over 100 erratic discoveries commonly known as lapidei. New studies and surveys have led to a better knowledge of this cultural site also for the purpose of its conservation. The main objective is to develop a new design and layout of the museum’s exhibition, also backed by digital sharing platforms.
