Service firms, especially professional ones, are particular relevant in the current context for their function as providers of services aimed at a variety of subjects and for supporting the activities of other entities and people.
The short essay aims to observe a specific aspect of these companies: the search for equilibrium and sustainability both in the company and in the projects/initiatives. After having carried out an initial classification of service companies, the paper analyzes the concept of corporate equilibrium in its classic meaning and in its components. The study therefore focuses on projects with particular regard to sustainability to be evaluated in corporate planning but also as monitoring project performance. Finally, we return to the overall corporate equilibrium as a result of the sustainability of the projects, the strategic choices and the reference context.
