Short description:
(2024). Sustainability Literature Orientation: Evidence from Finance Academic Research . Retrieved from https://hdl.handle.net/10446/270392
abstract:
Sustainability is a global matter, increasingly attracting attention in the last decades. The integration of sustainability criteria in economic development has a significant impact on businesses and financial institutions in terms of management and decision-making processes. Academic research became more involved in the matter which can be seen through the immense number of academic studies published in the field. In this chapter, we aim at drawing a research map to guide readers by applying a novel methodology: topic modeling on a sample of 3,271 academic publications to extract the dominant topics and investigate their evolution. We find 35 topics studying sustainability adopting empirical, qualitative, and mixed approaches.
