Il metaverso: sfide giuridiche ed opportunità per il diritto del lavoro

: The metaverse promises to be a universal and entirely immersive virtual world, still hypothetical, that develops in the digital, powered by virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality technologies, whose matter is composed of data and information.
The idea behind the metaverse is to create a layer of the internet superimposed on the physical world. The peculiarity is to be found in the fact that the people connected to this new dimension belong to the physical world but are able to see, interact and operate with things that other subjects are not able to see, because they belong to a virtual world. It is a persistent, interactive and interoperable ecosystem, a sort of embodiment of the internet in which users instead of just viewing content, play an active role by being immersed in it. The reflection, after a general overview of the topic, focuses on some critical aspects regarding the regulation of work, precisely, in the metaverse.
