Il lago dell'intreccio

In 2018, the company Nuova Demi and the Municipality of Pontirolo commissioned the Center for Territorial Studies of the University degli Studi di Bergamo to create a Masterplan for the recovery and territorial regeneration of the “quarry of the three cantons”; the following year, already sharing, the Municipality of Arcene, the Municipality of Ciserano and WWF Lombardy, manager of Renova Park, took an active part in the initiative.
The territorial regeneration project, drafted by an interdisciplinary team coordinated by Professors Fulvio Adobati and Emanuela Casti of the University of Bergamo, in addition to giving the quarry the name “Lake of the Interweaving” by virtue of the historical and modern, natural and cultural elements present, envisions a naturalistic-cultural regeneration networked on a local, regional and beyond scale, in a recreational-tourist perspective.
