From Nibiru to Tiamat, an astronomic scenario for earliest Sumerian cosmology

Academic Article
Publication Date:
2013
abstract:
The paper has been motivated by the recent discovery that Jupiter core mass is less than Saturn, the natural explanation, studied in Chiana, being the impact with a large planet, mass estimated at 10 times Earth's. We discuss the hypotheses that the impact occurred about 7000 BC by a body that had recently entered the inner solar system. We show several astronomic consequences and how Sumerian and Greek myths can be explained in such a context.
