abstract:
«A beautiful mind» won four Oscars and two «Golden Globes». Directed by Ron
Howard and starring Russell Crowe, the film was inspired by the life of John Nash, who was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. This connection between science and the cinema is mainly due to the turbulent and astonishing events in the great mathematician’s life, as well as the importance of his discoveries. Nash is more than just a «Nobel» winner, bearing in mind that his results are well-known
to the majority of economics students throughout the world.
