abstract:
In the last two decades, the employ of computers and video games as an important tool in daily activities, for the younger generation, has led to an increased use of visual-spatial channel instead of the verbal and auditory as a great amount of international literature has shown. This study is aimed at testing whether this new fact has produced significant differences in the performance related to tests for the measurement of spatial, verbal and abstract reasoning skills. The survey compares the scores obtained by two different groups of subjects who were administered the Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) at a distance of about twenty years. From the statistical comparison of means between groups showed that the average yield to Scale Space Reports of DAT has undergone a significant increase in the range considered.
