CATALDO Andrea

Andrea Cataldo is a Researcher at CNR – STIIMA (Institute of Intelligent Systems and Technologies for Advanced Manufacturing), where he has been working since 2002. Electronic engineer with a PhD in Information Technology (with a focus on Advanced Automatic Controls MPC for industrial plants), he has gained solid experience in the design of automatic controls, dynamic simulators for industrial plants and in the software development for microcontrollers. He is a technical-scientific evaluator in national research and development projects, a professor of Industrial Automation at UNIBG and in ITS Academy foundations.
He previously worked in important industrial companies such as ABB and Foster Wheeler where he trained as a control engineer, contributing to the development of automation solutions and algorithms for medium voltage lines protection.
He has been coordinator and conductor of ITS 4.0 projects in the field of advanced technical training.
Author of books and numerous technical-scientific papers on journals and national and international conferences, he stands out for his excellent communication and leadership skills, also consolidated through his experience in volunteering (Scout leader, CAI regional hiking guide, Civil Protection volunteer). He is a member of the Milan Order of Engineers and has received public recognition for his commitment to Civil Protection. He speaks fluent English (C1 TOEIC).
