She holds a PhD in Economics & Management from the University of Padova, which she completed in February 2019 by discussing a thesis on the relationship between inward foreign direct investment and the institutional quality of the recipient country. Before joining the University of Bergamo, she was a post-doc researcher at the School of International Studies of the University of Trento and at LIUC-University Carlo Cattaneo. She was also an assistant professor and an adjunct professor at Marche Polytechnic University.
Her research lies at the intersection of economics and management and covers several topics, with particular attention to the determinants and implications of various forms of corporate innovation. Her work has been published in various international journals, including the Journal of Economic Surveys, Small Business Economics, Eurasian Business Review, and the Journal of Technology Transfer.
