Beatrice Colombo is an Assistant Professor at the University of Bergamo. She was a post-doc research fellow from February 2023 to January 2026. She holds a PhD in Technology, Innovation and Management from the University of Bergamo in agreement with the University of Naples Federico II. Her PhD fellowship was co-funded by the Lombardy Region and ENEA. Thanks to this, she spent several periods visiting the Laboratory of Functional Materials and Technologies for Sustainable Applications at the ENEA research center in Brindisi. Her research currently focuses on Industrial Symbiosis and, more generally, on Circular Economy in manufacturing sectors. She is also interested in Green and Lean Manufacturing. During her Ph.D., particular attention was paid to carbon fiber reinforced polymer matrix composites. Her research has been presented at national and international conferences (e.g., APMS, iCRS, INCOM, EurOMA Sustainability Forum) and published in national and international journals. Since October 2019, she has been a member of the CELS Research Group and AIDI (Italian Association of Industrial Plant Teachers). As of 2026, she is a member of the European Association of Operations Management (EurOMA).
