Manuel Anselmi (Civita Castellana, 1975) is Associate Professor of Political Sociology at the University of Bergamo. His research focuses on political ideologies, theories of populism, penal populism, and Latin American politics, particularly revolutionary Bolivarianism and the case of Morena in Mexico. He directs the book series LESSICO DEMOCRATICO (Democratic Lexicon) for Mondadori Università and DEMOCRAZIE E CONFLITTI (Democracies and Conflicts) for Meltemi Editore. He has conducted research and taught at several foreign universities, including the University of Kentucky, FLACSO Ecuador, the University of Salamanca, the London School of Economics, and Loyola University New Orleans.
