The main objective of this course is to learn how to systematically use financial information to be an effective manager. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: (1) Value securities; (2) make investment and capital budgeting decisions; (3) understand risk, return, and cost of capital; and (4) compare the U.S. and Italian financial systems, including their regulatory frameworks, market structures, and corporate landscapes within the global economy.

Topics covered in the course include:
· financial decision-making in a corporate environment
· time value of money
· capital budgeting
· cost of capital
· working capital management
· financial instruments issued by the firm
The course is held in English as part of the internationalization project Summer Business Program (only for LT students in "Economics" and "Business Administration" and for foreign / Erasmus students). Participation in the course is limited and related to the selection for the Summer Business Program (for details, see the website: https://www.unibg.it/node/388).
