Il fondo cavo del significare: metamorfosi di un topos dalla poesia romantica ai versi di R.M. Rilke

The article attempts to show how the peculiar use of images related to concavity, which charachterizes Rilke's poetry from its very beginning could be retraced back to its Romantic origins; on the other hand, this Romantic heritage is questioned by the poet thanks to his Nietzschean backfgound, which enables him to use such images for a new, quite different foundation of the poetic discourse.
