Agosto 1922. La cacciata di Angelo Filippetti da Palazzo Marino

This article discusses Angelo Filippetti’s election as mayor of Milan, his difficult season at the head of the city in 1920-1922, and finally his ousting by a coup d’état of fascists and nationalists, which was made possible thanks to the approval of prefect Alfredo Lusignoli. The reconstruction has benefited from a new source: Filippetti’s enormous private archive, donated to the Istituto Nazionale Ferruccio Parri by his family and recently made available to citizens and the scientific community.
