Estudios de género asistidos por corpus. Enfoques multidisciplinarios

This volume contributes to the development of corpus-assisted gender studies in Spanish and, at the same time, dissects the social practices that discursively construct violence against women, gender identities, sexualities and socially implanted stereotypes from school and academic contexts. Resorting to the concept of gender as a category of analysis and social transformation and to the tools of corpus linguistics, each chapter unmasks the patriarchal and heteronormative ideology underlying the discourses examined, in order to deconstruct the traditional hierarchies of power between the sexes and the gender binarism that continue to generate antithesis and inequality in the contemporary world.
