Curriculum Vitae
Academic Position
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at the University of Bergamo and a member of the Faculty Board of the doctoral program in Management, Accounting, and Finance at the same institution. I teach Economic and Business History at both graduate and postgraduate levels.
Education
I hold a Ph.D. in Economic and Social History from Bocconi University (1989) and a Bachelor's Degree in Economic and Social Disciplines, also from Bocconi University (1981).
Research Interests
My research centers on the study of inequality and elites, business history, and gender history, with a particular focus on late 19th-century and early 20th-century Italy. I have authored several monographs and articles in leading national and international academic journals, including Rivista di Storia Economica, Società e Storia, Imprese e Storia, Annali di Storia d’Impresa, Quaderni Storici, Women’s History Review, Business History, and Accounting History. I have also contributed chapters to collective volumes published by internationally renowned publishers such as Springer and Routledge.
Professional Activities
I have served on the editorial board of Imprese e Storia and acted as a peer reviewer for various Academic journals. In 2008, I was awarded the Fulbright Distinguished Lecturer Grant and subsequently taught at the University of Pittsburgh ( 2008-2009 a.y). Over the years, I have collaborated with the Dalmine Foundation and the Legler Foundation for the Economic and Social History of Bergamo on several research projects concerning the history of local businesses. Currently, I am the scientific coordinator of a research project aimed at preserving and promoting the Business Register Archive of the Bergamo Chamber of Commerce and the Succession Register Archive of the State Archives of Bergamo.
