Develop a solid understanding of the fundamental elements of law trough a real case.
Acquire and mature autonomous argumentative and judgmental skills linked to the study and
analysis of real cases.
Understand the system of sources and the relationship of interaction between internal and
supranational norms that characterize the subject matter.
Comprehend principles of international origin (such as the principle of sustainability, the
"polluter pays" principle, the precautionary principle).
Understand judicial pronouncements.
Interpret the rules with a systematic method, according to doctrinal and jurisprudential
orientations.
Apply the acquired knowledge to concrete cases by developing autonomous argumentative paths.
Use appropriate and specific language for the subject matter.
To pass the exam, students must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the system of sources,
definitions, and main procedures in environmental matters. They must also have minimal application
skills in order to independently and reasoned exposition of judgments.
Grading
The grade will be communicated immediately after the exam.
Assessment Criteria
The oral exam will be assessed on the following criteria:
Knowledge and understanding of the system of sources, definitions, and main procedures in
environmental matters.
Ability to apply legal principles to concrete cases.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Communication skills.
Exam Preparation
In order to prepare for the oral exam, students should:
Review the course material, including the textbook, lecture notes, and any handouts.
Practice answering sample questions.
Become familiar with the Environmental Code and the case law discussed in class.
Develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Practice their communication skills.
