Course Objectives

After this course, the student will be able to compute mod n, know the notions of group, ring and field, the basic properties of binary relations and the basic notions of propositional logic and first order logic.

Course Prerequisites

First and second year mathematics lessons.

Teaching Methods

The lesson will be made of theoretical teaching, exercises class and tutoring.

Assessment Methods

At the end of the lesson there will be an exam structured in two, obbligatory, parts. The first one is written, lasts 2 hours, and is made of exercises. A student can try the second part, oral, only if the grade of the first part is at least 15. The second part of the exam is about the more theoretical aspects of the lesson and could be a second written exam, if need be.
