Syllabus

Course Objectives

Acquire useful knowledge and skills to interact effectively in the workplace, especially in terms of negotiation abilities, conflict management, and teamwork.


Course Prerequisites

Only students enrolled in the 3rd or a subsequent year of the EA degree course are allowed to attend.


Teaching Methods

The workshop has a predominantly practical nature, so alongside the introductory lecture, there is a series of sessions based on the use of tests/questionnaires, videos, exercises, and role-playing.


Assessment Methods

The acquisition of the expected credits (CFU) depends on the active participation in the proposed activities and the completion of the exercises and assignments given by the instructor.


Contents

In the first part of the workshop, essential concepts regarding the history of negotiation, its current relevance, strategies, techniques, and common negotiation mistakes are presented. Additionally, specific negotiation situations such as job interviews, buying and selling, and disputes between competing companies are addressed. In the second part of the workshop, the focus is on teamwork, its importance in contemporary workplaces, with particular attention to the internal diversity of teams and the management of teams in an international context.
