Syllabus

Course Objectives

The course objectives are:

- to define the concept of educational technologies

- to explore the various fields of application of educational technologies

- to get to know the hardware and software tools that can be used in education

- to acquire scientific lexicon

- to explore methodological and technological approaches to education

- to develop a critical sense in the approach to educational technologies

- to know how to consciously integrate technologies into different educational realities

- to reflect on emerging issues such as the massive use of technologies at an early age, the challenges and opportunities posed by robotics and artificial intelligence

Teaching Methods

The course will be developed by integrating theoretical presentations with working sessions characterised by collaborative learning activities and active teaching methodologies.

Lessons will be offered exploiting the different digital media and languages (slides, videos, web resources, applications for collaborative work), also with attention to the different learning modes of the students.

Ideas for activities and supplementary materials will be available on the course's Moodle platform.

Students with documented needs and registered with the Office for Services to Students with Disabilities and/or DSA must contact the lecturer in order to agree on useful adaptations for studying and taking the exam.


Assessment Methods

WRITTEN EXAM: answers to 3 questions about course content. Each question may be answered within a maximum number of lines and will be awarded a weighted mark which will be added together for each question up to a maximum of 31/30 (honours awarded for original, well-prepared and well-defined assignments). Duration of test: 90 minutes. Outcome via Sportello Internet Studenti.

ORAL EXAM reserved for students with partial credits or in agreement. Outcome at the end of the examination and registration via Sportello Internet Studenti
