The primary objective of this course is to train students with the skills and knowledge necessary to design and develop software applications for rehabilitation and tele-rehabilitation by means of eXtended Reality and Motion Capture systems. By the end of the course, students will be proficient in designing, developing, and evaluating rehabilitation software applications, ready to contribute to advancements in in real-world healthcare settings.
Basic knowledge about human modeling techniques.
Students will engage in a combination of frontal lectures, collaborative team-based projects, and continuous support to develop tele-rehabilitation solutions. The teaching methods include:
The evaluation of project results, acquired knowledge, and developed skills will be conducted at the end of the course through a comprehensive oral presentation by each project team. This presentation will assess the team's ability to effectively communicate their findings, demonstrate their technical proficiency, and showcase the practical application of their project.
