Love and nature in the early 19th century French novel.
The course will explore the French novel of the first half of the 19th century, a period in which this narrative form emerges as a reference model in the tradition of European modernity. Through the analysis of a corpus of works of particular relevance, the various representations of love passion will be explored and the “feeling of nature” as a crucial element in the formation of the modern novelistic character will be investigated.
The programme is different for attending and non-attending students. Bibliographic indications can be found in the Leganto section of the course, for whom additional learning support is provided. Erasmus students and students with PDP or PEI are invited to contact the lecturer at the beginning of the courses.
