Syllabus

Course Objectives

The course aims to be a useful support for the student to deal with all those disciplines that concern the study of motor and sports activities, physical exercise and human movement in general. The main objective is to accompany the student in the knowledge of the main theoretical and methodological lines that underlie sports activities.

At the end of the course the student:

- knows the theoretical and methodological principles underlying sports training, also in function of age and gender;

- knows the technical language and contextualizes it in an appropriate manner;

- knows and recognizes the elements of human movement in function of the organization of motor and sports performance;

- uses and consciously orients himself in the scientific texts of national and international literature presented during the course;

- possesses knowledge, skills and competences that allow the construction, planning and organization of a training session.


Course Prerequisites

None.


Teaching Methods

The didactic activity will be organized in moments of frontal dialogue lesson. There will be moments of laboratory and group work, in problem-posing, problem-solving, peer-tutoring and debriefing activities to encourage the development of individual, relational and communicative skills and autonomy of action and judgment. It will also be possible to organize thematic seminars also in remote mode.


Assessment Methods

The final exam consists of a written test and an oral test.

  1. Written Test: A multiple-choice test. Passing the test (minimum score 18/30) is necessary to access the oral test.
  2. Oral Test: An interview divided into two parts, one for each module of the course.


The final grade is as follows:

  • 34% multiple-choice test grade
  • 33% oral part grade on Module 1
  • 33% oral part grade on Module 2


Optional Interim Tests (for Attending Students)

During the course, attending students will have the opportunity to carry out activities (group work and presentations). These tests will contribute to the final grade. The specific methods of these activities will be communicated at the beginning of the course.

- Classification of sporting activities

- Motor skills and competences

- Physical fitness

- Self-efficacy in sport

- Methods and methodologies aimed at improving performance in sport

- The pedagogical dimension of sports training: motor learning, sport pedagogy, non-linear pedagogy and positive pedagogy

- Theory and methodology of team sports training

For working, non-attending or other specific students it is advisable to contact the teacher. For ERASMUS students, the examination programme can be agreed with the teacher.


All teaching material presented during the lessons is made available on the Moodle platform.
