Frontal lessons.
The exam is written (two open-ended questions, 90'). The aim of the examination is to test the student's knowledge, critical faculty and argumentation skills. The evaluation criteria include: the completeness and relevance of the answers, the clarity of the argumentation, the mastery of the language, the ability to summarise and personalise the questions posed, the grammatical and syntactical correctness, the richness of the exposition. The final grade is out of 30.
The topic of the course is the concept of "total institution", which will be examined by looking at the contributions of some important sociologists and in relation to some significant historical events.
Students (without distinction between regular and non-regular students) must bring to the examination chapters 5,7 and 10 of Marzano's book "Potere e società " and . Zuboff's book "il capitalismo della sorveglianza".
