Course Objectives

The student will be able to strength knowledge and skills in analizing medieval literary texts


Course Prerequisites

A previous exam in Italian Literature is required.


Teaching Methods

Lectures. Students will give speeches and reports on specific topics. Workshop with well-known scholars.


Assessment Methods

Oral exam on lectures. The exam measures students' knowledge and skills on textual analysis.


Contents

Dante's presences in Boccaccio's works


The course analyzes from a literary and cultural perspective the reworking of Dante's texts implemented by Boccaccio in his writings in verse and prose.
