Overview

Date/time interval

Primo Semestre (15/09/2025 - 20/12/2025)

Syllabus

Course Objectives

The course aims to provide the basic elements of the technical communication language in order to allow the student to read and write both according to the usual practices of technical drawing and using the techniques and IT tools currently available, in particular CAD systems 3D. Furthermore, the student will have a clear vision of the fundamental principles of Virtual Prototyping and technological solutions for Additive Manufacturing, Reverse Engineering and Digital Human Modeling applied to the medical sector

Course Prerequisites

No prerequisites are required

Teaching Methods

The course is characterized by lectures for the theory part and practical exercises divided into freehand drawing and the use of 3D CAD systems. Exercises are planned in the computer rooms for the 3D CAD part.

Assessment Methods

The course includes an evaluation organized on three different tests:

- manual graphics test (50% of the exam)

- theory test (25% of the exam)

- 3D CAD test (25% of the exam)

To pass the exam, each test must have a positive evaluation and the final mark is the weighted average of the marks. Each test can be taken independently of the others.

The validity of partial tests is limited in time.
